The Valorant Champions Seoul kicked off on August 1 and, after four days of action, the first round of the group stage matches is already over.
Starting from August 6 and until August 7 the teams that won their opening game will play in a Winners Match against the other victorious side in their group. The winner of the Winners Match will qualify for the playoffs while the loser will play against the winner of their group's Elimination Match.
Here's how each group and bracket is looking, including information about previous results and what's to come:
Groups
The Valorant Champions Seoul has four groups. Here's a look at each one of them:
Group A
Group A's action began with a DRX victory over KRÜ Esports. The South Korean team lost Haven but redeemed themselves with victories two 13-6 victories on Abyss and Bind. Meanwhile, Fnatic ran over Bilibili Gaming and defeated the Chinse side on Bind and Lotus.
The Winners Match saw the South Korean lineup defeating Fnatic as they pushed the Europeans to the Lower Bracket. Eventually, Fnatic defeated KRÜ Esports in the elimination match.

Group B
The action kicked off in Seoul with a match between the champions of the VCT Masters Madrid and the champions of the VCT Masters Shanghai. In a very one-sided match, Gen.G Esports defeated Sentinels and moved to the Winners Match. Shortly after, Team Heretics obtained EMEA's first victory in this year's edition of the Valorant Champions after two overtime wins against FunPlus Phoenix.
Unexpectedly, Team Heretics defeated Gen.G Esports to clinch the first seed in Group B. It was the South Koreans' second international defeat this season as their last one was at the VCT Masters Madrid grand finals.
On August 8, Sentinels defeated FunPlus Phoenix and moved to the final Elimination Match. There, they surprisingly defeated Gen.G Esports in a one-sided series.

Group C
Leviatán's return to the Valorant Champions began with a 2-0 victory against Talon Esports, which was the Pacific's first defeat in the tournament following Gen.G Esports and DRX's victories. Meanwhile, Trace Esports obtained China's first win in the tournament after defeating Team Vitality.
Surprisingly, Trace Esports succeeded at defeating the VCT Americas 2024 champions Leviatán. In the elimination match, Leviatán defeated Team Vitality with victories on Icebox and Sunset to take the group's second seed.

Last but not least, Group D's action began with G2 Esports' brilliant 2-0 victory over the Valorant Champions 2022 grand finalists Paper Rex. The game was followed by a 2-0 win for EDward Gaming against FUT Esports.
G2 Esports became the first team to qualify for the playoffs from Group D. The last spot will be given to the winner of the match between EDward Gaming and Paper Rex.

Valorant Champions action this week
Following the results seen on Tuesday and Wednesday, the first seeds for each group were confirmed as Team Heretics, DRX, Trace Esports, and G2 Esports qualified for the playoffs. Curiously enough, that means that each region has already confirmed its presence in the final eight.
On Thursday, Sentinels defeated FunPlus Phoenix while KRÜ Esports defeated Bilibili Gaming. This means that the VCT Masters Madrid champions will play against Gen.G Esports in the Elimination Match while KRÜ Esports will face off against Fnatic.
The final group stage matches will see Leviatán playing against Team Vitality and EDward Gaming playing against Paper Rex.
